Palast Architekts wins tender for Purvciems development concept
Search for the best residential project sketch for Dzelzavas and Dudajeva street area has come to an end. The contest was launched in March by Building authority of Riga town council and Latvian architect union with a view to find optimal architectural solution for projects inside existing city squares.

Evaluation criteria were project compatibility with urban environment and technical data. Apart from already mentioned organisations, the panel of judges comprised of Riga city council Urban development department, Vidzeme suburb executive directorate, Urban environment department and Saules dzīve company representatives, as well as numerous landscape architects.

Seven companies have participated in both tenders, and Palast Architekts project sketches were considered to be the best. Professionals offered most interesting planning solutions, which allow new constructions to fit naturally into existing urban environment. Judges were also impressed by the winner’s careful attitude towards green space preservation.

On 21 April winning projects were exhibited for public trial in Small hall of Vidzeme suburb executive directorate.
