Saules Dzīve has already implemented five “sunny” dwelling house projects. Now development has started for two more projects - Saules Ieleja and Saules Aleja.

Established in 2001, Saules Dzīve was one of the first to begin building multifamily housing. Its debut took place in 2002, when a four-storey 45-unit Saules Nams house replaced an old kindergarten building on Unijas Street.

Company board member and co-owner Vladimir Tomson explains why are the projects so popular: “We never copy what already has been created, that is why we attract a new team of highly professional architects every time we work on a new project. However, we do not strive to make our houses too prominent. We just want our houses to be warm, in literal and figurative meaning of this word, and to resemble… homes, not concrete boxes. All apartments in Saules Dzīve houses come ready for interior design works. Firstly, full interior finish boosts the project’s price, and secondly, home should be tailored individually, and it’s for the owner to decide how he wants it to be”.

All five implemented projects were built on the right shore of river Daugava. Saules Ieleja, which is currently being developed in Chiekurkalns, follows this tradition. The company decided to honour customer requests and build at least one house in this part of the city. Saules Aleja is a complex of 24 two-storey row houses on Jurmalas gatve, near Zolitude suburb.

– We chose a wonderful site for this project, - says Vladimir Tomson. – Developed infrastructure, shops, restaurants, public transport, schools and kindergartens, Jurmala and Riga centre - everything is literally around the corner. And at the same time the space is really green and quiet.

People are going to live in private houses, but no one will look in their windows but sun and clouds: considerable distance parts the houses from multi-storey buildings, so that the inhabitants are secluded from public gaze. Saules Aleja represents two types of houses: ten of them have 150 sq.m large floor area and fourteen - floor area of 200 sq.m. The layout is thoroughly designed and extremely rational: every floor of the house has its own mission. Utility rooms, living room, kitchen and toilet room will be based on ground floor, while three bedrooms and two bathrooms will be situated on the first floor. Every living room will have its own fireplace. All houses except the main one will have a second exit to the backyard, designable to owner’s liking, perhaps as a cosy formal garden, or Italian style little park, with arranged flowerbeds or entire city for the children with all manner of swings, merry-go-rounds and sporting facilities…

Solid, durable materials were chosen for construction: reinforced concrete foundation, walls and partitions made from AEROC blocks, additional layers of heat and sound insulation, precast reinforced concrete slab flooring. ...

To regret, in hectic rush of everyday life many forget about eternal values. That nothing can be more important than the family. That without child’s laughter a home is empty. That even most elegant interior design and extra-smart equipment will never substitute for delicious taste of granny’s pies or Sunday family dinner… Saules Dzīve reminds you of that. We build exactly such kind of houses. Lightsome and warm with sun, hearth and home.
